Alex Luganda
Alex Luganda is our head Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. Holder of Bachelor of Laws Makerere University, Post graduate Diploma in Legal Practice LDC and doing research for Award of Masters of Laws, Oil and Gas , UCU. He has previously worked with M/s. Okallany, Ojakol & Co. Advocates, Luganda, Ojok & Co. Advocates and Newmark Advocates prior to the birth of AHA Advocates. Advocate Luganda has wide experience in electoral petitions and strategic Constitutional litigation and has been involved in a number of precedent setting Election petitions. He is also a leading sports Lawyer in the country having served as Head Legal, FUFA for over 10 years and currently engaged in football Administration as both a practioner and instructor. He is also grounded in International Humanitarian Laws, Disaster Preparedness and Mitigation, Disaster Risk Reduction and the Humanitarian and NGO world and is currently the Head of Legal and a Board Member at the Uganda Red Cross Society. Alex has great bias in cultural institutions legal dynamics and operations and he is currently the Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister and Deputy Attorney General Busoga Kingdom.
Anita Kiddu Muhanguzi
LLB.(MAK), Dip L.P (LDC) When she is not reading a good book, Anita is fully engaged in research for the cases that she is handling. She has distinguished herself in the fields of domestic and international human rights, land law and land transactions, domestic relations, criminal litigation, non-governmental regulatory systems, labor and employment relations, immigration and refugee laws, as well as corporate social responsibility. She also has a bank of experience in public interest litigation, minority rights, gender and discrimination laws, good governance and democratic practice. An advocate of the high court of Uganda and an alumnus of the prestigious Makerere university law school. Anita is currently the Managing Partner of AHA advocates. Education:- – LLB, Makerere University – Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, LDC- Kampala Core Expertise – Corporate Law – Arbitration and Dispute Resolution – Investment Advisory – Employment and Labor Law – Immigration Law – Civil and Criminal Litigation.
Harimwomugasho Francis
Mr. Harimwomugasho holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree of Makerere University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice of Law Development Centre. He is currently finalizing his Master of Laws (degree) from Makerere University Kampala. He is an advocate of the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Uganda. He is a member of Uganda Law Society, and East Africa Law Society. Before joining the firm, Mr.Harimwomugasho previously worked with M/s Paul Tusubira and Co. Advocates, Tibamanya Urban Advocates and later a Partner in Ochieng, Harimwomugasho and Co. Advocates and Newmark Advocates, wherein he was involved in commercial, civil and criminal litigation. He specializes in the law of banking, intellectual property and business law. Mr. Harimwomugasho Francis is currently the business Development Partner with AHA Advocates.
